06 Aug New Meditation Class
I am currently advertising for a brand new Beginner’s Meditation Class, for Wednesday’s from 5.30 – 6.30pm. If you are new to meditation and would like to start with the basics, this is the class for you. In the beginner’s classes, basic meditation techniques are explored, as well as how we can apply these techniques to our daily lives.
I have been meditating on and off for years, but over the last 3 years, I have developed a daily practice. Each morning when I wake up, I meditate. I must do it. Even if it is only for a few minutes, this routine is what I need in order to start my day well. Some meditation experiences I have had, have been very insightful, so I also keep a meditation journal.
If this is new for you, and you do not know where to start, begin with the breath. Start with taking a few deep breaths when you wake up in the morning. Just watching the air flow in and out of your body. If you prefer a different time of day, that is ok! This can be practised at any time! Give yourself time, that is just for you to connect with your breath. Whenever you are connected to your breath, you are connected to the present moment.
“Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself”
~ Hermann Hesse
