26 Apr Mindful in May
“One in nine people don’t have access to clean water” – Mindful in May.
It amazes and saddens me that not every human being has access to safe and clean water. I was inspired to be a part of a fundraiser that will help build clean water projects in developing countries. I have registered to participate in this fundraiser called ‘Mindful in May.’
Mindful in May is a movement that partners up with a non-profit organisation called ‘Charity Water.’ This non-profit donates 100% of it’s funds raised to their water projects. For the month of May, participants are asked to meditate and practise mindfulness for 10 minutes per day, all the while receiving sponsorship – raising funds for Charity Water. It’s a win-win by participating! By practising mindfulness on a daily basis you are helping yourself by developing a regular meditation practice, as well as taking care of your mind, body, and heart. Through this wonderfulness, you are helping to raise money for those in need of clean and safe water.
Ok, so I have created the team ‘Karuna Wellness Centre.’ If you wish to participate in my team, registration cost for Mindful in May is $30. If you wish to join, please email me at email@example.com and I will add you to the team. If you wish to not participate (and that’s totally fine!), you can still make a donation to the team! I just thought I’d let you know as registrations close by the 1st May.
